Cassia, native to Sri Lanka, Madagascar and South Asia, is an evergreen tree that grows to a height of 12 meters and is the source of the famous fragrant spice, cassia. It was carried around the world by Arab traders. Cassia has been used in the Asian continent since time immemorial and besides the cuisine, it was also added to incense and cassia oil was also used in tantric training for men.
Cassia essential oil is obtained by steam distillation of the bark or leaves. The oil derived from the bark is the strongest and can irritate the skin. Cassia Bodhi essential oil is obtained from the leaves by steam distillation. This oil is less irritating. The aroma of cassia leaf essential oil is milder and fresher than that of the bark oil. In addition to cassia, a pleasant balsamic and soft note of menthol can be felt in the oil.
Cassia essential oil has a wide range of beneficial properties, it acts against bacteria , viruses , fungi , parasites and therefore should not be missing in the first aid kit for digestive problems, diarrhea and intestinal parasites.
Cassia essential oil has a strong warming effect, helps with muscle spasms, and is added to massage oils for athletes. It relieves joint pain and is therefore useful for arthritis and rheumatism.
Cassia essential oil is effective for flu and colds , nausea and PMS. Helps prepare for childbirth – accelerates uterine contractions.
Not suitable for pregnant women and children under 6 years old!
USAGE :
- AROMATIZATION OF ROOM – add 3-5 drops to water in an aroma lamp.
- EXTERNAL USE – for massage, dilute 1-1.5% of essential oil in adult base oil, i.e. 2-4 drops per 10 ml of base vegetable oil (0.5% for children and adolescents from 6 to 12 years old and 0.2-0.3% for children under 6 years old.
- BATH – Dilute 3-5 drops in one tablespoon of salt or warm milk/honey.
- In COSMETIC PRODUCTS – 1-3 drops.
