Kaffir lime is a widely distributed citrus plant in Southeast Asia that has dark green leaves that are used as a spice. Both the leaves and fruits have a strong citrus aroma and flavor, but the fruits are inedible and are used to repel insects and less commonly for cooking. Kaffir lime , or Thai lime, is quite unpretentious, it can be grown indoors all year round, and even a small tree will produce many leaves that will serve as excellent exotic spices.

Kaffir lime essential oil is obtained by steam distillation from the leaves of the plant and has a unique aroma, sharply citrusy, with spicy notes in the background.

Kaffir lime essential oil has an antibacterial effect and is an excellent oil for disinfection and oral hygiene, often added to toothpastes. Kaffir lime oil has antioxidant properties, is added to cosmetics, gives the skin a healthy and fresh look.

Kaffir lime essential oil is an effective natural insect repellant.

USAGE :

• AROMATIZATION OF ROOM – add 3-5 drops to water in an aroma lamp.
• EXTERNAL USE – for massage, dilute 1-1.5% of essential oil in adult base oil, i.e. 2-4 drops per 10 ml of base vegetable oil (0.5% for children and adolescents from 6 to 12 years old and 0.2-0.3% for children under 6 years old.
• BATH – Dilute 3-5 drops in one tablespoon of salt or warm milk/honey.
• In COSMETIC PRODUCTS – 1-3 drops.

Essential oils of citrus fruits are photosensitive. Do not apply to skin before exposure to sunlight.
