100% essential oil of bergamot (lat. Citrus Bergamia) awakens the senses and has a positive effect on emotions:
- mood stimulation and refreshment, concentration, antidepressant.
Bergamot is a small citrus fruit found primarily in Italy. Earl Gray tea smells like Bergamot . The oil is obtained by cold pressing from the peel of unripe fruits. Bergamot essential oil has a fresh citrus and slightly spicy aroma. Due to its original aroma, it is often added to perfumes.
Bergamot essential oil has significant antiseptic properties, acts against viruses and bacteria, helps in the treatment of skin diseases, acne, eczema and psoriasis, and is also effective against fungi. Bergamot essential oil strengthens the immune system.
Like other citrus essential oils, it calms the mind and relieves stress. Bergamot essential oil is great for treating depression, calming and helping with insomnia. Recommended for use in workplaces where people work under stressful conditions (such as open offices, psychologists’ workplaces, etc.).
USAGE:
- AROMATIZATION OF ROOM – add 3-5 drops to water in an aroma lamp.
- EXTERNAL USE – for massage, dilute 1-1.5% of essential oil in adult base oil, i.e. 2-4 drops per 10 ml of base vegetable oil (0.5% for children and adolescents from 6 to 12 years old and 0.2-0.3% for children under 6 years old.
- BATH – Dilute 3-5 drops in one tablespoon of salt or warm milk/honey.
- In COSMETIC PRODUCTS – 1-3 drops.
A WARNING:
Bergamot essential oil is phototoxic (reduces the resistance of skin cells to the harmful effects of ultraviolet radiation), so it should not be applied to the skin immediately before exposure to sunlight.
